World Environment Day
In 1972 The UN General Assembly declared June 5 World Environment Day. The date of this World Day was chosen in commemoration of the work of the Stockholm Commission, the concern of the human environmental problems. In its decision, the General Commission calls on States and UN organizations to organize annual events that will endorse their commitment to the protection and improvement of the environment. This holiday has become one of the important holidays of the international ecological calendar and is celebrated every year in more than 100 countries. At the 27th session of the General Assembly, a new organization was set up in the United Nations system, the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP).
As every year this year also , the State Museum of Nature hosts events during which the students of Art Center named after K.
