The United Nations declared June 5, in 1972 as the Day of Protection of Environment and since 2004 it has been celebrated as the Day of Nature Protection in Armenia. The event by a headline “Small pudders in the drawing” took place at the State Museum of Nature of Armenia and the opening of the exhibition by a headline “Colors tell about the elements of nature”.
The environmentalist first of all, is not a profession, it is a title; you have to love the nature to protect yourself and fight for the solution of environmental problems.
The exhibition was attended by students named after Koryun Nikoghosyan Children’s Art Center headed by Anush Davtyan.
Within the framework of the event, the children expressed their eclectic attitude towards nature in chisel. The commission created by the museum evaluated and chose the two participants who performed the best work and commented on the work, who were rewarded with gifts.
On the occasion of Nature Protection Day, the directorate of the State Museum of Nature of Armenia presented shirts to the participants in line with the day.
The celebration of the day aims to wake everyone up to the desire to contribute to the protection of the environment. In other words, it is necessary to actively promote sustainable and equitable development, to contribute to the understanding that the main driving force for changing the approaches to environmental issues is our own, our society.
We congratulate all of us on the Day of Nature Protection, as it is not only for professionals, but also for all of us because we are part of nature and without it, we can not survive.
