The May 18 is International Museum Day. It was proclaimed by the decision of the International Council of Museums on May 18, 1977 by the suggestion of the Russian delegation. Since 1978, more than 150 countries, including Armenia, celebrate this day. On May 18 of this year the State Museum of Nature of Armenia hosted the opening of the exhibition titled “Ancient” dedicated to the International Museum Day.
Nature has always been inspired not only by scientists, but also artists, whose vivid proof of the magnificent paintings exhibited at the museum, the authors of which are Vladimir Grigoryan, a member of the Artists’ Union since 1961, had 60 exhibitions in Armenia and abroad and author over 400 works and his wife, artist Flora Baghdasaryan, who has been a member of the Artists’ Union since 1972, has had about 50 exhibitions in Armenia and abroad. In the frameworks of the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia and the May battles, the students of N99 Primary School performed.
Artist Victor Hovhannisyan made his speech. Primary School of N99 was awarded with a certificate, which was handed by the Director of the museum Gayane Ghazaryan, who concluded the event with a congratulatory speech.
