«Cheesfare week ritual»
On the 24th of February of this year the ceremony of Cheesfare rite took place in the State museum of nature of Armenia. This ceremony was different because it brought to life the armenian old rite. The State museum of nature of Armenia not only keeps an enviromental campaign, but also promotes to save armenian old traditional rituals. Pupils of the secondary school N138 named after V. Saroyan took part in the ceremony.
A historian and a psychologist Vanuhy Simonyan and a national master, a psychologist Srbuhy Movsisyan presented the idea of Cheesfare and the ritual process.
The main ritual was presented by songs, dances and games, During the ceremony pupils and and museum workers made the doll Lent Alkatiz.
At the end of the Lent ritual took place the removal of “ Utis” and the entry of “Alkatiz”
The museum organized a hospitality devoted to cheesfare with rite dishes.
The director of the museum Gayane Ghazaryan perorated this nice ceremony, awording Vanuhy Simonyan and Srbuhy Movsisyan with gratitude lists.
