“Museum  Night” pan- European event has been one of the most important event in Armenian  cultural life of thirteen years.

This year museum festivities will begin in international Museum day on May 18 and will end on May 20 in “ Museum Night” pan –European Event.

This year’s slogan  is “Painful stories: it’s hard to tell’’ in museums.
The topic was the proposal of the National Committee of ICOM’s international museum,made during the summit of ICOM and the porpose was addressing global issue.
International Museum day has been celebrated since 1977 by  the  initatives of the Council Museums /ICOM/.

The aim of Museum day is incrasing the role of social and cultural life of society to create a favorable environment for the propagation of museum objects.

“Museum Night” program started in 2005.

“Museum Night” event once again give an opportunity to look  at  museum object completely in a different way in other correspondence of colours and light. The State  Museum of nature of Armenia joined the “Museum Night” pan –European event as well as in previous years and presents itself with a unique event list.
