The year is a jubilee for the museum, on November 10 it celebratesthe 65th anniversary of its birth.
The museum is one of the unique scientific-cultural centers of our country’s rich biodiversity not only in Armenia, but also in the entire region.
Being established in the middle of the last century (1952), the museum has made invaluable contribution giving generations information about nature, connecting with nature, caring for them, and creating love.
The exhibition of the magnificent canvases by RA National Artist, Professor Hrant Tadevosyan (Tatos) made the celebration even more memorable in the Museum of Nature.
An exhibition titled “The Unique Interpretation of the Armenian World” will be open for ten days.
The Deputy Minister of Nature Protection of Armenia Khachik Hakobyan addressed a congratulatory message, stressing that from the first years of the opening up to today the museum serves the public, raising the ecological consciousness and making the public accessible to the rich biodiversity of our homeland.
“Over these years, it has spread its branches in our regions. The luminous point is the “Lake Arpi”National Park, as well as the museum, provides its expertise in museums of nature located in specially protected areas.
The Deputy Minister of Nature Protection considers it symbolic to open an exhibition of masterpieces dedicated to the Armenian nature in the State Museum of Nature.
The Director of the museum Gayane Ghazaryan noted that the wish to celebrate the jubilee year with the opening of a personal exhibition of paintings was by the National Artist. Tadevosyan pays great attention to the Armenian wildlife in his works.
“This exhibition gives a festive look to our museum,” said G. Ghazaryan.
The artist has more than 6,000 works in different genres, but presented the works that are in line with the museum’s direction and depict the beauty of the Armenian landscape.
According to the master, the idea of exhibiting in the museum was born long ago and he decided to present it on the museum’s birthday.
“I have presented works that are pieces and fragments from nature. At first you have to do a part of nature and then start working again. All the parts from the Norths to the south are included here.
I love Armenia, I am a stranger and any dialogue with nature is not to be forgotten.
